Not sure that you could, or would want to...straight air would heat up and make forks stiffer during the race. You'd likely have to carry nitrogen with you since its more stable. I learned about that when they tried it in the 70s.

I was wondering about that to. Aftermarket potential......pressure relief valve at the top of the fork that keep pressure from building during the moto :)
 
Hah, you expected me to read the article before I commented??? Pffft....

I'm sure it's possible, but I'm too old to go trying it again.
 
They say that only the hard core racer will need nitrogen and unless it's a super hot day out the regular air pressure should stay the same. Pingree was saying that McGrath pretty much designed this bike and they took a lot of technology from the races teams for it which is oblivious.

I guess like in the article he also said the forks are super responsive and the bike handles awsome. I would buy one if I wanted. To blow money and rode a 450
