Malvern north round of the battle

First, the nuts and bolts of things. Gates will be open all day on Friday. Practice on Saturday is going to be longer than normal to help make sure everyone gets more seat time, 8:30am till 4pm. Pit bike races will start at 5pm. There will be regular pit bike races and also a parent and child relay pitbike race. We are doing a "bloomers" relay race as well (more details to follow). We are finalizing a few other evening activities and will post details shortly.

We are going to be doing some benefit stuff for the Bee family too. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and the egging of Jarrett Strouble was such a hit last year, how could we not replicate that? So we will be selling eggs for that. There will be donation jugs at sign up as well.

Sunday is race day! Sign up opens at 7am, practice at 8:30, and races to start at 10:30.

We have special battle awards made by Mx trophies (they're really cool, will post a pic ASAP). And, in addition to those we have a trophy sponsor that gave us one 5 FOOT TROPHY for each of the kids classes! But rather than give it to first place, we have decided to do a random pick of the top 5 in each class so you won't know if you got it until you pick up your awards!

Kames Sports has really stepped up to the plate with $2000 worth of giveaways!

We have a very generous pro purse worth a maximum of $4,000 up for grabs courtesy of Thermo-tec and Wiseco! I will get Jeremy to post the payout schedule.

More giveaways include: Wiseco hats, key chains, stickers, and a ton of product certificates.

SRS suspension has pledged a ton of free complete suspension revalve packages for Battle series awards.

Bottom line here folks: If there are three must attend, cannot miss, events in the Ohio MX scene, THESE ARE IT!!!

*I probably missed some stuff. I'll post all details as they get finalized.*

Will pitbike practice be 5-5:30 as posted on the website or will it be in the mix throughout the day?

We are adding Quad A to the Battle Series, it will be $40 to enter and payback 200%, it should draw some good racing. 2 of the 3 rounds have no Atv National, and the one that does it at Unadilla, the round the most skip. So here's your chance fast quad guys, the first round is this Sunday at Malvern Mx

Just some clarification on the 5 foot trophies. Here's how it will work: the top 5 in each class will be eligible for the trophy. The first person to come up for their award in each class will draw a ping pong ball (numbered 1-5). Whatever he/she picks will be what place gets the trophy for their class. That way it can be in no way "fixed". These awards are for the following youth classes: Bike classes; beginner, jr., & sr. pee wee, jr. & sr. trail, 65 & 65/85 beginner, jr. & sr. mini, super mini, & girls. Quad classes; micro prod., mini jr. prod., mini sr. prod, & mini sr. mod.

Just random showers and thunderstorms. Jason is at the track. He will post updated track conditions as soon as I get the iPad there! Leaving in a few! :)

Track is still packed tight and everything is running off. We have had lots of showers this week but when we got to the track today it was bone dry. We just got a shower but as long as we have the track packed in, no big deal. Things will be awesome tomorrow. If there has to be a Round of the battle with the possibly for some sketchy weather, there is no track in Ohio with better drainage or more equipment to make things the best they can be.

No rain here last night and by the looks of the radar the last storm cell on the radar went just north of us. Hopefully we can get practice in and get the track graded and put the roller to work before the possibility of any evening showers.

Ok everyone, we are going to postpone the pit bike races until tomorrow. It's raining now and we want to get the track closed up right after practice so it's good for tomorrow. There will be one open class, 2 moto's.

Gate fee is $10 as always. We got a big shower at the end of practice yesterday = 5 hours on the dozer scraping off the top 3 inches trying to get the track prepared for the rain that was suppose to come. Well we never got another drop. Yay!! We are heading out to chisel now. Track will be good!

So far what the chisel is pulling up looks excellent, all the places that were wet yesterday are dried out real good, gonna be an awesome morning session
