DC Vet National
High Point Raceway
Mt. Morris, PA
Sunday, September 27
Seems like there's even less info about this race on the racerproductions page than last year. Has anyone found a class list, or sign up times posted on any site? Haven't heard back from an email I sent them.
I wish it was still on a Saturday. They usually put more info out about a week or two before the event. Here is the class list I found http://www.racerproductions.com/vet-national-classes/ Last year they added A,B,C to 50+ and I think they had a few other support classes (maybe a D?).
This may be an un educated post like most of mine. I stopped going cuz it is not really a Vet race, It is a race with every class known to man and then add a bunch of Vet classes.
This is what I have seen in the past any way.
Scratch the previous post if you seen my first reply... I called back and talked to melony who seems to have a better idea of the format.. She said XC racing is saturday.. The bonfire is saturday night.. Vet national race is sunday (previous were saturday).. Its $25 a head to get in saturday for the weekend or $15 a head on sunday.. Hope this helps.. See ya guys then!
if anyone sees a for sure class list including the extra support classes please post it.
Good luck with that. I think they make it up on the fly depending on who shows up.
We started an hour late last year and was still done before 4pm. It's really a Vet race now, like Scenic used to be...maybe 120-150ish entries.
Cool, I love it. Track prep good?
Im still busted up for 4 weeks yet.
They have a harescramble Saturday? I might have to make a weekend out of it if that's the case.
I quit going after 2007. One of my motos was 3rd the other was ?? In my first moto I was 3rd on the 1st lap and couldn't see (worst dust bowl ever n very dangerous) It was like riding in flour. Typical Combstien track prep. If it's not a national (vet nationals don't count) then F^*# You!!
If only there was a vet race in Ohio...
Vet race..... Muhaaaa
Hope you're healing up well. As far as track prep, I'm ok with it, from an old slow guy's point of view.
We had a kid race and you were a no show!!!!! I had a stage and everything set up for you! Rock on!!!!!!
I have gone since 2001, its a rough track and I love it, it makes you work for it to the end, I think the track prep is good, and for the money you get a lot of laps with practice.
Isn't it called Doug fest?
I was thinking of going to the event to do some photography.. I've never been to High Point.
