A few things...

I hear he went looking for the AMA officials after the race to apologize.

Apparently he spent some time in the AMA truck, took his punishment, and never tried to pass it off as anyone else's fault.

He and Doc Bodnar have talked since then and are squared away.

The $5K fine? That goes to the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit.

I think it was just an unfortunate miss hap. I will say "I DON"T think it was because it was no ones fault" I think both are too blame.
Vincent could have backed off a little on the jump before. Then he wouldn't have been so close, and he wouldn't have had to try and jump to the outside.
Barcia seemed a little "Ho HUM" on that jump when he did jump to the inside. HE shouldn't have been so laxidaisy about it and Vincent may not have tagged him.
Barcia should have held his temper though.

without a doubt, it was barcias fault. he looked over and checked up on vincent going over the triple, then 4 seconds later cut from the left side of the track, to the right, assuming vincent was going to lay down and not go fast at all. vincent clearly was giving him the go around the outside as it looked like he would do (or like anyone would do when they see someone directly beside them).

to add to this, his reaction was HILARIOUS. he is an absolute tool and i think it was funny.

End of the day Vincent should have yeilded to the faster rider. Many lappers roll jumps or pull off in turns and let the faster rider by. Gallo has been lapped before as a pro as well as anyone else that rides. Just slow down or hold your line and let them buy.

As for the word Spoiler in my title if you cant control yourself to NOT read something that you havent watched yet then there is no hope for you anyway. Think to yourself... "self I haven't watched the race so I wont read anything that is about said race" problem solved.

I defense of Vincent, Barcia was past at that point, and it is not up to him to slow down any longer. A leader faster than 3/4 of the guys on the gate has to use a little common sense and pass lappers with caution. I dont think Barcia has ever really done that. I have seen him go under lappers in corners and almost take them out passing them.

ohh barcia, these kids and their tomfoolery on the track! as for the wreck, looked like, umm whats that called?? oh ya RACING! stuff happens, looked to me like they both made the mistake of crossing lines @ the same time. though in barcias defence, i dont know what vincent was trying to prove by holding up with barcias pace, dude shoulda gave him some space.

I remember somebody mentioning something about this a few weeks ago.

It makes me mad when people qualify for the main and then just ride around.

I was watching it and thought the opposite -- that it was Barcia's fault.

Actually it was funny because as I was watching it I was wondering how long it would take for someone to post on here that it was Vincent's fault. Barcia was barely ahead of him and jumped diagonally across.....to me seemed like something you would see Stewart do (not being smart around lappers).

How about Bogle? If you watch the replay of the start, as they are going into the first turn you can actually see he had his clutch hand off the bars and was pushing on the guy next to him (Malcolm)! Maybe Malcolm's bars snagged his arm or something.

Maybe Vincent got pissed that the leader checked up on him for no reason. Barcia makes its a point constantly to cut it close to lapped riders. Why?

in barcias defense on the actual move during racing... that was the fast racing line that he and most others were doing the entire night. BUT, he should have released that he had a guy to his right. i wish roczen was farther back, so that when barcia remounted, they were both together. would have made a real interesting last couple corners.

If I was Malcolm in that situation and could think faster than a cheetah I would of taken my hand off the bars and grabbed barcias front brake :D
