1985 CR250 wins 250B moto at regional

That kid was riding the piss out of that bike....just think if he was 16 yrs old in 1985.....maybe the record books would be different today....

I was thinking the same thing.

I'm very psyched on this kid, and wish him luck!

Ps.. Georgie.. I've got a 85 cr125 I'll sell you haha

Copied this from vitalmx

Hey guys Jerry Robin here! I see all of the support im getting and im honestly very shocked and I couldn't thank anyone enough.. I say that guy who made the donation idea so if anyone is interested in donations here is my address because I don't know how to setup a paypal or anything like that so just mail it!

Thank you!! Keep up the sharing and I want to make my fans proud at lorettas this year:)

This is awesome to see, racing for himself and isn't caught up in the "state of the art" needs. MX needs more of this to survive, the costs are spinning out of control for the average person. Good to see someone that recognizises this is a fun sport no matter what you ride!

Kudo's!

Id love to see the kid ride that at lorettas and that's all extremely impressive, but I'm sure he doesn't need anyone's personal donations anymore than the next kid that's going to lorettas. Pic below shows him on that nice newer Yamaha here, not the '85 also pictured.

I agree, I just don't think he should be taking personal donations and acting like that's all he has. I deff applaud his efforts and think good things will be sure to come his way from support companies.

agreed, curious to see what happens if/when that hits vital. still AWESOME.. but.. dont play it off like thats all you have or whatever. Theres a lot of other kids out there that deserve help too, maybe some more than that.

Thats going to say that its an accurate photo. Who knows, something could have happened that forced sale of that and maybe it really is all he has.. but.. idk. Awesoem feat, but makes me wonder!!

So far to me, it seems like he only has 1 set of MSR gear

I'm excited to see where that CR will go.. And I wonder if he's got the water pump housing all patched up

I would think Honda would make a commercial out of that for how great CR's are for years and years!

he says the transmission went out of the Yamaha 125 in the picture. bet the Honda is his dads bike. looks as if his dad works at a Honda dealership in Minn.

yes his bike is broke . they dont have money to fix it . I WAS THERE THE KID IS [ FAST] AND THAT WAS NOT A VINTAGE TRACK. SO HELP THE KID OUT IF YOU CAN. AND U PEOPLE THAT SAY THE B CLASS WAS SLOW THERE ARE SMOKING SOMETHING.

Saw another video over on Vital MX.......man that kid is fast on that old bike. I could care less what the story is, but obviously he is not your typical Amateur in the 50 foot RV with the double stack and three new bikes in back, one bought right before LL. This kid is proving for FACT that if you have the talent, you don't need the $10,000 bike, with $3000 in suspension work, etc etc to win at this level. He has major talent, and mentions in the one video he is trying to get noticed, so if this is what it takes for his talent to stand out on the track, props for him for finding away to stand out, and possibly get some help.

That is exactly what he is trying to prove. And I do applaud him for his effort. How many kids these days would look at a bike that old and say, no thanks. They would rather play video games than take a shot at their regional. I give him all the credit in the world, He killed it on that 85 CR. This is what racing is about, and his story needs to be highlighted to some of these "mini dads" that think the more money they pile into the fuel injected 250, the faster their son/daughter should be. It might help keep the sport growing, rather than having kids get burnt out from all the tears and screaming on the way home.

Take a deep breath, turn your caps lock off and use whole words, no one is attacking your "boy".

It's an awesome story, kid can ride, and probably has more heart than any of the other spoiled kids out there trying to make it big.

Definitely would make an awesome commercial! I'll bet Vurb does a full story on him soon, he doesn't (nor his friends) to ask for hand-outs, with that kind of determination and skill someone is going to pick him up. I'm crossing my fingers for a Brotocross write up, you know that would be a good laugh.
