I did one on my bike and it really is noticable. All I did was cut an old bar pad in half, peel the seat cover back and slid it in there. I have to glue it down though, because it will move on me. Im just going to cut a little "V" into the foam and use some hot glue to keep it in place. On my last bike I had one of the SDG step seats and I didnt care for that to much, I like the hump in the middle alot better.

i've run a hump seat on my last two bikes. love it personally. and it doesnt stop you from being able to go all the way back when you need to.....
