Wanta know why I hate MX Sports? Look no further than 5 damn C classes.
F'ing C riders have no business at a NATIONAL.
This encourages sandbags and discourages true BEGINNERS which is what the C class was created for.

Davy Coombs... You were once a pretty good racer. Stop destroying the sport so you can make even more cash. We know your mother is always all about the money. But man, your dad actually loved the sport.
The new C riders may love you for this. But in a couple years they will move onto other things (they always do, you. The C rider reading this now, yeah I'm taking about you) But the non "C" will still be here. Watching our sport being ruined by the next generation of beginners. Just not sure how much longer we can survive

I always said that they shouldn't have a C class at LL. Because it guts the local racing in the spring time. That's when tracks need cash the most. It also promotes riders to stay down a class for a longer time. No C class at LL will make rides want to get to B class sooner so they can do qualifiers.

But since they are still having the C class at LL the addition of the 125C class is awesome! I am surprised that they didn't make it a limited and a youth class, but still happy they added it.

Knox, the kids coming out of the mini and super mini classes are racing against some of the best mini rides in the nation. The mini classes are tough. If your kids not one of them l've witness parents buy their kid a 250f instead of a 125 so they could race the C class. With the addition of the 125 C class I would hope more parents will start their child on a 125 when they move up to the big bikes.

I commend Alex, the AMA and Mx Sport for this decision to add a 125C class.

C class for everyone. Sad part is, some guys will try for it thinking anyone will give a s**t that they went to LL in a C class and got 30th. But it's Lorettas!

125 c class is smart but they should have a 125 b class also. A fast kid that made it to lorettas on a Mini shouldn't be able to ride the c class. At all the races aren't the c classes the biggest class. As a business owner i'm not going to turn away my best customer. CK1 when you own a track and have a regional you would love the 200 plus c riders. This is a sport and we do it for fun. Most people quit when mom and dad quit paying and that's about the time they become B riders.

They can't.
From the supplemental rulebook:

Riders may not participate in a “C” class if they have ever:
Participated at the National in any previous year in any class, with the exception of any 51cc (4-6), any Girls or Youth Beginner (2011) class, as well as any Women Amateur class riders finishing outside of the top 10;.....

You make a good point about the moving up and stopping racing, I quit racing regularly shortly after moving to B class. It would be nice to see a 125 B class too but would there be room in the schedule? I know down south theyou used to run a 125b/c class that was always fun.

Room in the schedule ? Cut two C classes add a 125 b unlimited class.14-99, 122cc to 151cc
Probably would end up being fastest class at the ranch.

Wrong. I would never love C riders. EVER. I have accepted they are part of the sport. But having 5 classes for them at the one and only NATIONAL we have does two things. 1 fills the pockets of mx sports. (And trust me, that is really the only reason) and 2 demeans the title of a "national champion"
Parents of these C riders are the root cause of the problem. They will drive their kids all over the damn country just so they can find one regional where they may luck into the fast sandbaggers crashing in the first turn so their kid can make the trip to LL just to get smoked. The parents of the sandbaggers meanwhile will be walking around the pits in flat bill hats, DC shoes and a backpack like they are someone.
Congratulations your kid just won the equivalent of the national championship of JV girls 8th grade tether ball.
You must be so proud.
Merry Christmas

I think you would never love a sandbagger. How can you not love a true C rider. Jeremy Mcgraths C class title did nothing for him and i'm being serious. It was his effort afterward that brought him real championships. My son is a top 10 C rider so i have to love him. He raced maybe 5 times this year and i hope next year he does qualify for Loretta's so he and i and my dad can go for the fun and life experience. I don't care if he gets 30th just as he won't care if i get 30th.i didn't go back to Loretta's for 31 years and i had a blast with my dad this year. So next year i hope we all get to go. That's what it's about not who's cashing in.

The "champions" are not new riders. They have been around for years. Sandbagging. The average c rider I really do like. They are the life blood of the local sport. And that's the point. C is local. NOT national. Noting in this sport is sacred. Everything is for sale and that is just depressing.
And 1985 and 95 were great years for the sport on a local and national level. So yeah. It was better. (I quit before then so it's not just me)

AMA changed the rules putting a age limit to race a 250F or 450F. Just my opinion, if they were going make a 125 C class, it should be for 12-17 year olds. Just my opinion.
