YES he would! I cant believe how many people dog on Dungey!

lol .... no he wouldnt. Not this year. But since they are all gone and RD5 is in it to win it, guess what? He is the man. Thats what it takes.

Next year , if he stays with Baker, he is going to be up there no matter what!

I'm not dogging on Dungey, not even a little.. It's just my honest opinion, I actually root for Dungey, he stays consistent and clean.. Rare these days it seems.. I hope he takes the title, it's well deserved. Noting was handed to him, he put in the work this year no doubt, I just cant say the points would look like they do if RV and JS were lining up every week.. I agree JS is wildly inconsistent, but you can't doubt his speed. RV.. Well, although I can't stand him.. He's RV and his record speaks for itself

Bubba would have never kept it on two wheels for 16 races. I laugh how people are always saying Bubba would have got a title, etc. When was the last time Bubba won a championship? Bubba hasn't won a Championship in 6 years! But yet everyone says he would be the winner if he lined up every week! 6 YEARS!!!

Im not saying he will win a title, but he is good for winning his fair share of races, thus changing up the points a bit.

Dungey did it again this weekend, and RV isn't even winning over in the GP's where the competition is supposed to be less than our guys this season at the same time. His knee wasn't going to be ready for SX this season in any case, and he's not the dominant force that we expected outdoors in the GP Circuit. I don't think if RV had stayed in the USA and lined up at 70% health in SX to try to win another title that he would have been able to pull it out. Time off hurts even the very best and RV is showing that over in the MXGP races, and not having your legs in the best shape possible would be really dangerous in SX.

Bubba is another crazy assumption and he's shown clearly that he's not consistent enough to win a SX title for the past 5 years straight. Looking at Recent history:

2014 - Dungey - 2nd, rode every race 304 points, Bubba - 4th, rode every race 272 points
2013 - Dungey - 3rd, rode every race 337 points, Bubba - 10th, missed last 3 races 174 points (Give him 3 wins, and it's only 249 points)
2012 - Dungey - 3rd, missed 5 races 257 points, Bubba - 7th, missed 6 races 178 points (Give him 1 win and it's only 203 points)
2011 - Dungey - 3rd, rode every race 328 points, Bubba - 4th, rode every race 301 points
2010 - Dungey - 1st, rode every race 363 points, Bubba - 20th, Missed 14 races 51 points
2009 - Dungey - Rode 250SX class, Bubba - 1st, raced every race 377 points

So every year that Dungey has ridden in the 450 class, he has beaten Bubba every time in heads up competition. Including twice where they each rode every race in the SX season. And another season where they each missed a similar amount (5 races for Dungey, 6 Races for Bubba) even if we give Bubba a 25 point win for the extra race missed that season, Dungey still beats him. The season that Bubba missed the last 3 races, if we let him win all three hypothetically, he still doesn't beat Dungey on the year.

Where does it make sense that Bubba would beat Dungey Heads up this year now that he is at the tail end of his career as a professional racer while Dungey is in the prime of his? It simply doesn't. Sure Bubba would win another SX Main or 2, but he wouldn't win the Championship.
