2020 Loretta Lynn Qualifiers and Regionals

TN just opened restaurants so I think they would be cool with some motocross racing.

It'll be kind of cool if everyone's first gate drop of the summer are at the regional.

I think we'll all appreciate motocross and be excited to race again. I will be.

My opinion, any options in Michigan is out. Next to NY, Michigan has the highest infection rate and deaths in the midwest. Can not imagine that they are even on the short list.

That leaves Ohio and IN. My guess, the vets are moved to BC, and the youth regional is moved to either Chilitown or Sunday Creek, with CTMX getting the nod. They have the facility, and Scott would go in and make the needed changes to the track that need to happen for a regional. He was planning changes anyway.

Just my thoughts.

Well, Chillitown is another option for a regional, I didn't list it because it only had one regional in the past few years, and it has closed and changed hands since then (at least who is running the track), which makes it hard to say if they'd go there. But since Plessinger probably has a good relationship with MX Sports, I could see that as a possibility for one.

I'm not that fond of Sunday Creek for full gates on big bikes, the track doesn't really lend itself to good passing areas. I've never been to Chilitown, but have heard it's not a big bike track either over time, but suits smaller bikes better.

If Michigan is out of the equation, I'd like to Vet Regional at Ironman or Briarcliff. And the only other track that might be a possibility of maybe having a regional is Thunder Valley, which could be fun to race on too.

So the problem with Michigan is this. The county red bud is in has a low case number of 248 with 15 deaths. The county I live in which also Detroit is in has 16, 729 cases with 1,782 deaths. The Governor is punishing the whole state because of Detroit. I personally think you will not see any big races at red bud this year.

We will be lucky if anything happens in Ohio this season. We are sitting at 10 for mass gatherings now. Time will tell, but it will come down to the wire which makes it hard to plan for.

I agree with this. I also think even Red Bud for 4th of July is probably pretty iffy because NY and Michigan are two of the worst in the East.
Did not expect DeWine to continue the stay at home today. I mean he is opening some businesses, so why the stay at home? Makes little sense to me. But the Governor and Doctor have been wrong the whole time. He did say yesterday that a school could hold a graduation if they had proper social distancing.

Guys..... it’s not happening. Let it go.

I want it to happen more than anyone. I love moto. But there is no way states are going to open up a motocross race that will pull in people from neighboring states. Then there is no way people in CA, NY, MI who have been locked down for months at a time and haven’t been able to work or shop, are going to suddenly load up and try to race Loretta’s. If the MLB and NFL are in question for the year, motocross is definitely in question. Feld hasn’t even decided what’s happening with SX but Loretta’s is on? It’s not happening.

The governors plan that he refuses to tell everybody is a stay at home order and social distancing all year. Dr Doom has said it a couple times, they’re just going keep bumping it back to avoid a mass backlash. Until we slowly shut up and take it. Whitmer won a lawsuit against her by a civil rights group with a liberal judge. That issue I’m sure will be taken to the Michighan Supreme Court on appeal. Getting your freedoms back is going to be a long haul.

The OMA needs to get an attorney and file suits. Suits have to be answered it takes time and money. They don’t have to answer surveys and emails.

Sounds good in theory, but I don't think spending OMA money on lawyers really meets the intent of our 501c4 non profit entity.

Pass that hat. I’m good for some. I’ll stand with any track at their gate I promise you that. I’ll take the cuffs, this is about far more than just moto.

There is not legal justification that you can’t have a practice when golf courses are open. If they said you can only have X amount of people per acre of parking that would sound reasonable. Your getting the blow off because they don’t like moto, they don’t know what it is, or they’re too lazy to give it attention.
