In years past they always did a great job taming the track down for the Amateur SX, but yet it was a lot of fun. Last year not so much. Same this year. The rhythm sections are super tight with zero room for error and not fun at all for this 49 year old.

Maybe I am just getting old, but this might be my last daytona SX. Just not a fun track for old guys anymore like it used to be. Definitely keeping it much more technical.

We will see what a 15 year thinks about it.

When they were coming through the long section and I see a few over jump stuff, a few launching a few rhythms. I thought man I really hope they tame this thing down for the AM guys.

It's still really tough. My son doubled all the way through no problem. First race back since breaking my ribs and hurting my hip Sept 30th for me. That might be some of the problem.

I had a great start. 3rd into 2nd corner and slid under a guy and stalled it. I was pissed. Almost dead last when I took off. Ended up 17th out of 31. Sharc was in front of me. We needed 15th. So we are both riding the consi in the morning.

Matt Powers, my buddy from sw ohio lead the whole first heat and won his 40+ heat.

Matthew got the whole shot and was riding great around 6th or so when he went down in the same corner I stalled in he ended up 18th. But only one gate. He for sure should get a top 10 if he rides the way hes capable. He has 250 Jr yet to run.

Thanks Mike. I had fun but I don't know if ripping is the right description! They did a great job with the track for us-really fun and really safe. Only riders I saw go down were 2 guys that grabbed too much throttle and looped and the guy the rear ended me in a corner. 151 entries not including the quads I think. Very cool just to say I did it.

Daytona RCSX 2019 was the most intimidating track I've ever put wheels on.
