In these trying times of "can't we all just get along" , "reaching across the isle to find common ground" or "bipartisan mentality" District X is the MX revolution that we need. AMA is too busy with road riders and has never cared about MX in their own back yard. Need proof? Wild wilderness, Beechwood trails and Lo-Conn all getting shut down with little or no support from the OHIO based AMA. And then we have the area standard CRA. A High School click organization that doesn't regulate track prep standards for their "in crowd", and once you leave the click you are shunned and not allowed back in. Need proof? Spring Valley and OIR, two of the better tracks that were once in the click.

District X is telling the status quo to pound salt. They don't need the AMA or want to be in a click. These guys have the knowledge, equipment and tracks to create an Ohio series worth racing at. They aren't greedy and have the riders best interest at heart. This thread is 17 pages long asking for feedback from us the riders. District X will be a huge success.

dmx153 for President.

The only other name I thought up to make it a more official name would be Core Motocross Association - CMXA

I still dig District X though. Meeting with my nammed assailant here shortly (lol), we are discussing a class list, the name, and various scheduling details. Possibly the first DX meeting.

Please keep posting, I will check my phone periodically.

To: All those involved, You can tell me to back off at any time…ok?
Hold On a second! Is the goal to create a new organization to provide first class racing or a playground mob to point fingers, ridicule and rub noses in the old establishment?

More thoughts on names, logo’s and branding.
All from a Motocrossers perspective..

Yes, the word District has a large shadow. At least in the eastern part of the country. It’s a term used by the AMA to describe territory.
Coombs doesn’t use the term District at all in his LL Amateur National Series. Instead he uses “area” and “regional” to describe geography.
Seems as though the west coast broke through the AMA strangle hold a few decades ago and much of what happens out there is done with no AMA affiliation or terms or reference.

So make sure to ask yourselves… will the District shadow create recognition and is that the type of recognition you want? Will it cause confusion and or maybe take on the appearance of alliance ? Are you limiting the scope of potential by using the word? Will it appear as if you re-heating and repackaging something that’s already been on the menu? Or maybe poking at a hornets nest? …or poking fun? Never loose sight of the ultimate goal.

“We race”…that’s Pro Circuits’ slogan. ….for a service and parts company that slogan rings loud and clear about their commitment to performance. And that good for them.
But for a Racing Organization it’s only restating the obvious. Big deal! The CRA Races too, and much more than you are planning to. By using “we race” are implying that others don’t? …Ha! That’s some ego ya got there…

And X is so played out I don’t even know were to begin.

Ohio MX Racing - OMXR

Thumbs down on "District X"...sounds like sci-fi movie taking place on mars in 2048. Or a video game killing mutated miners in a third-world country. It lacks class or taste.

This series isn't reinventing the wheel, just engineering a better one with already proven principles. A series that could potentailly gain nationally noteriety should be something the old timers and young bucks can appreciate in the name. I like Ohio Motocross Racing - OMXR. It's short, sweet and simple, something you can be proud of in the living room, at the track or a in font of a top-executive of some big company. It has a local feeling, it speaks to motocross and it's about racing. For someone not in racing or riding that could possibly spectate...search the internet an find. District X brings a odd expression across my face not like an "alright" expression. Is this series about being outlaws or providing Premier MX racing in ohio. What name speaks to premiere mx racing in ohio???

A slogan... "Where Victory Happens" Who doesn't like victory??? Where do you find victory??? You find it over here! What is the victory...obviously racing, but victory needs to happen on and of the track. Good leadership, good racing, good people, good organization, good quality events with class and taste!!! This slogan can stand the test of time too, it's never not relevant.

RRNS. Might get brotocross angry.

Railin ruts and nailin sl...I mean sections.

"OME. Ohio Motorcycle Enthusiasts. ".
Slogan:
"Taking riding and racing to the next level."

Maybe if you change it to Ohio "MOTOCROSS" Enthusiasts....... that sounds better, but it's still too close to OMG (and their failure in my eyes). We're trying to get away from that Road thing with this group.

I'm not so focused on the name of the organization as the result of the ideas shared on here put into place for racing. I love a short series that makes people show up and battle. Spring Series (whatever it's called), summer series, and fall series, and maybe the GP Series gives people 4 different shots at being important rather than one long all year series that gets people un involved or excited.

It's Exciting to see this unfold as I would love to have something worth racing at locally......

I’m not getting my fall clean up chores done …

ORC Ohio Racing Co.
MORE Moto Ohio Racing Enterprise
OMI Ohio Moto Initiative
OMNI Ohio Moto New Initiative

I know, I’m stuck on the Ohio part and cant get past that but I stink at this. Maybe the name should NOT include Ohio. For that, District -X is much better and wide open.

Bc.....Round One,Opening day...WRMC round two....SCENIC round 3....Beans round 4...Then we head a little North..Oir round 5.... Dirt World round 6....Spring series Wrapped up.....Summer Series here we come!!!! Malvern is a wild card as it is a CRA track as of now.

District Xtreme Racers for the corporate use. DX or District X for us racers.

It all sounds good but you'all seem to be leaving out the southern part of the state. How about asking Chillitown, Fly raceway, MX 213, Fast traxx? You guys afraid to go south of 70? Might as well call it Northern district-X

On top of that your forgetting Sunset Ramblers and SVR in Northern Ohio also. I know you don't have to race them all, but if your gonna do it as a state thing, then you should try to include the whole state at some time. Not just the northeastern part.
